Starting from Scratch

It’s pretty simple, actually. We’re all about good food, made well, for a good price. How do we pull that off? By cooking from scratch.

Our founders, Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers, believed cooking from scratch makes for great tasting food and an even better value. At Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, that means no shortage on the plate and no coupon necessary. We want our guests to get a lot, for not a lot.

From heaping plates of house-smoked ribs and hand-breaded chicken tenders to homemade chicken pot pies, we have all your favorites at a price you won’t believe. Come on over, we’ll be in the kitchen.

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is Community

Every day, in every Cheddar’s location across the country, team members spend extra time to prepare, package, freeze and store unserved, surplus food for donation to local food banks, shelters and other charitable organizations. Last year, those restaurants donated more than 335,000 pounds of wholesome and ready-to-eat food. Since 2018, Cheddar’s has donated more than 640,000 pounds of food to help those in need.
