Finance MBA Internships

Finance at Darden

The Finance organization at Darden is an integral part of delivering on our Success Pillars of a Strong Culture, Competitively Superior Leadership, Brand Management Excellence and Restaurant Operating and Support Excellence.  We are continually growing a highly skilled Finance workforce with the experience and leadership abilities to help us be a winner financially and an organization that everyone wants to be a part of.

Our Finance structure is aligned to either support a concept (operating company) or the corporation. 

Internship opportunities may be available in:

• Olive Garden Finance
• Red Lobster Finance
• LongHorn Steakhouse Finance
• Specialty Restaurant Group Finance
• Or a corporate function such as Corporate Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, or Investor Relations.

The MBA Internship Experience:

• A 12 week program placement during the summer at Darden’s Support Center in Orlando, FL
• Interns are paid $1,500 weekly (Note: benefits not included)
• Meaningful, project-based work experience that will add dimension to your experience and your resume
• Work evaluation at mid-point and conclusion of the program to assess your strengths as well as any areas of development
• Mentorship from seasoned professionals
• Opportunities to interact with our executives and key leaders within our company
• The possibilities of future career opportunities within the company

 
Housing:

• Interns must secure their own housing for the length of their program

Transportation:

• Individuals are responsible to provide reliable transportation to/from work

Note: Public transportation in Orlando is limited

• Participants who choose to drive to Orlando as part of their relocation for participation on the MBA internship program will be reimbursed for travel expenses
• Mileage will be calculated at a rate of 49¢ to and from your home or school location
• Any meal expenses incurred during your trip will also be reimbursed.

Note: Proper receipts will need to be submitted for reporting purposes

Additional Program Information:

• Appropriate business casual attire required

Men - Slacks and shirts with collars. Professional business attire may be required for certain occasions
                                Note: Blue jeans and flip flops are not acceptable in the work place
Women- Slacks or skirts with blouses; dresses or pant suit. Professional business attire may be required for certain occasions.
                                Note: Blue jeans, tank tops, or flip flops are not acceptable for the work place

Internship Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Successful completion of one year of an MBA program
• Must be able to commit to a 12 week placement scheduled to begin in late May / early June
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A passion for food
• Previous Finance experience is a plus
